Residents of Virgin River are becoming more willing to mate from season to season.

The showrunner of the series says that in season 3 we will no longer be rooting only

for Mel and Jack. Spoilers from the entire 2nd series!

“Virgin River” has not yet been ordered for a 3rd season, but this does not prevent the showrunner of the series, Sue Tenney, from making plans for subsequent episodes. The cliffhangers from the series 2 finale will be resolved, and we will continue to root for Jack and Mel, as well as the Doctor and Hope. And apart from them, there will be a third pair.

Virgin River – More Lizzie and Ricky in Season 3

Or rather, it has already appeared: we are talking about Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale), Connie’s crazy niece, and good boy Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey). Sue Tenney is delighted with them and promises in an interview with TVLine that there will be more of them in season 3.

What Tenney means, of course, is that (episode 8 spoilers!) neither of them have had sex before. And when they decide to go all the way together, it ends in a row with Connie. However, this does not mean that we can expect them to break up. On the contrary, Ricky and Lizzie are destined to become one of those couples that we will want to continue rooting for.Sue Tenney is optimistic about further seasons. She has big plans for Mel and Jack, as well as the rest of the characters, whose storylines she would like to end more or less as they end in Robyn Carr’s book series.
