The latest batch of EastEnders spoilers have revealed that Lauren Branning and Peter Beale are set to split up just weeks after having a baby.

It’s been a difficult period for the couple on the BBC soap , with them stunned by the news that their baby Jimmy is severely sight impaired.

Peter hasn’t taken the news well, having already expressed his fears that he thinks Lauren’s previous addiction issues will affect their sons Jimmy and Louis.

On top of this, Peter has shown a lack of support towards Lauren, who proposed to him last month, and has consistently put his family ahead of her.

Things look to be reaching its head, with upcoming episodes seemingly putting an end to their plans of walking down the aisle.

On Monday, June 2, Lauren becomes overwhelmed when she is bombarded by well-wishers in the Square and attempts to get Peter to join her.

Despite Peter’s mum Cindy Beale and his grandmother Kathy Beale joining forces to help the couple, things take a turn for the worse when Peter blames Lauren for Jimmy’s health.

While Peter finally attempts to bond with Jimmy, Lauren heads to The Vic and Harry’s Barn for a drink, but both Linda Carter and Gina Knight refuse her.

Cindy helps Peter when Lauren is a no-show on Tuesday, June 3, having stayed out all evening. Lauren later finds Peter in the café to explain what happened, but he heads to the hospital for an appointment for Jimmy without her.

At the hospital, Peter is warmed by an encounter with a fellow patient and returns home full of hope, but it’s not long before he and Lauren come to blows when he discovers she almost relapsed.

In what are set to be heartbreaking scenes, Peter breaks up with Lauren, and insists he’s going to fight for custody of their sons upon learning that she almost relapsed.

The following episode on Wednesday, June 4, will see the pair put aside their differences, but Peter grows concerned when it’s clear Lauren is hiding something.

Peter heads to The Vic to ask Johnny Carter about custody advice, but Honey overhears and informs Lauren who heads to No.45 to officially end things with Peter.

With EastEnders entering its summer period, it looks like the coming months will see Lauren and Peter locked in a battle for their kids.
