Sister Wives Season 19 premieres tonight and it has many fans looking back on

the 14 years they’ve watched the Brown family on television. In the first season,

viewers met Robyn Brown. She was to be the newest wife of Kody Brown. TLC

documented much of their courting and then the wedding itself. However, some fans believe Kody and Robyn might have been married before the show ever debuted. Here is why. Were Kody & Robyn Married When The Show Started? A Reddit user posed the question, “[Were] Kody and Robyn married before [the] show started?” They continued, stating that they believed Robyn and Kody Brown likely had their religious wedding before the show kicked off. The person theorized that TLC wanted Robyn’s introduction to be part of Season 1 of Sister Wives as well as the wedding.

On top of that, they reminded everyone that Mykelti went to live with Robyn to help with the kids. “There’s no way Christine would have let her daughter go live with some rando she didn’t know,” the fan stated. “It seems like Robyn was ‘in the rotation’ from the beginning, otherwise it would have been unseemly for [Kody] to spend time with her. And where did he sleep? They were dead broke at that point.” Not to mention, the family was trying to stick to their religious roots at that time. Yet, Kody and Robyn were filmed kissing for the show. “They would never have allowed themselves to be filmed kissing, let alone done it,” the Reddit user pointed out.

So, they concluded, their being married before the show started just makes sense.It seems most Sister Wives fans agree with this theory. “This is one of the few theories I can get behind. It would explain a lot of the disconnect from the first season,” one person agreed. “The first season’s timeline was not filmed in order and took place over a long stretch of time.” Another fan wrote, “I absolutely believe they had some sort of ceremony prior to their filmed wedding celebration.”

A third pointed out, “Makes sense, especially the part they were already paying all of Robyn’s bills.” Sister Wives Season 19 Will Show Changing Family Dynamic Now, Kody Brown has been left with only one wife, and that’s Robyn. Over the years, Sister Wives fans have placed blame on Robyn for tearing the plural family apart. In November 2021, Christine Brown became the first of the wives to leave. Janelle Brown and Meri Brown followed shortly after. Since then, the family has found ways to interact with each other in different ways, something fans will likely see play out in Season 19.
