Soap fans love a live episode because they get to see their favorite stars show off their acting prowess in real time.
And over the years, BBC‘s EastEnders has aired a total of seven, while ITV‘s Coronation Street has run three and Emmerdale has treated viewers to one.
Earlier this week, EastEnders celebrated its 40th anniversary with an epic live episode, which saw Martin Fowler killed off after a shocking explosion at the Queen Vic.
To nobody’s surprise, there was a blunder during the show on Thursday night.
Fans all made the same joke after a glaring mishap involving Sonia Fowler.
Read on to take a look at the biggest mistakes from over the years…
Sonia Fowler
Fans pointed out the same thing about Sonia’s daughter – that she had some how managed to dramatically grow in size throughout the live ep
The nurse (Natalie Cassidy) welcomed her baby girl into the world after she was trapped in the Queen Vic during the fire.
Viewers were worried that the youngster wouldn’t survive after staying quiet after being born.
Sonia, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Lauren Branning (Jaqueline Jossa) were over the moon when she finally started crying amongst the drama.

Tanya Branning
Tanya returned to the Square and was involved in a scene with Jane Beale
During EastEnders Live Week (EastEnders: The Week of Revelations) back in 2015, Jo Joyner made a mistake as she returned to the soap after two years away.
Five episodes aired between the 17th and 20th of February to celebrate EastEnders’ 30th birthday.
Tanya returned to the Square and was involved in a scene with Jane Beale.
Moments after telling her that she couldn’t miss her big day, she asked: ‘How’s Adam?’
The actress realised she’d make a mistake straight away, as she meant to say ‘How’s Ian?’ – but accidentally said Adam, who plays Ian on the show.
Speaking about the blunder with RadioTimes, Jo said: ‘There is absolutely no explanation as to how or why that happened.
‘We couldn’t have known it better. We go over and over this…
‘We needed to have huge rehearsals, so we were well rehearsed.
‘I’d never got it wrong. Obviously, I thought I’d wait until there were 9million people watching.
‘It was like an out of body experience, like a car crash really.’
Max Branning
But during the instalment, fans were left shocked when they saw Max Branning (Jake Wood) put his fingers down his throat after finding out his son Bradley had died
On February 10 2010, EastEnders marked their 25th anniversary with a live episode.
But during the instalment, fans were left shocked when they saw Max Branning (Jake Wood) put his fingers down his throat after finding out his son Bradley had died.
Jake said about the blunder: ‘Well it was in the script that Max saw Bradley lying dead and was sick, so at some point we talked about putting the liquid in my mouth then realised we’d have no time to do that.
‘But to me [what I did] felt very real, if you were going to be sick anyway that you might do that, to get it all out.’
Jack Branning
Actor Scott Malsen struggled to get his words out correctly during a scene with his co-stars Lacey Turner, Charlie Clements and Jake

She walked out of the shop with the item free of charge.

Peggy Mitchell

She said: ‘Yeah, you keep on June with those silly stories of yours.’
Sally Dynevor
On December 9 2010 the soap celebrated 50 years on our screens with a 60-minute live episode during Tram Crash Week
The final blunder is actually from Coronation Street.
On December 9 2010 the soap celebrated 50 years on our screens with a 60-minute live episode during Tram Crash Week.
If Corrie fans cast their mind back 15 years ago, the residents of Weatherfield were in total shock when a tram crashed down on to the Cobbles.
A number of characters died, including Ashley Peacock (Steve Arnold), Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns), and Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley).
Although the episode went very well, there was one scene involving Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) which left viewers scratching their heads.
When Sally wanted to go in and see Molly in the debris, she was told by the firefighters that she had to wear a hard hat.
However actress Sally totally ignored what was said and went into the scene without one.
