Emmerdale fans were left in tears after Amy Wyatt (played by Natalie Jamieson) was killed off during heartbreaking scenes.
During Thursday’s episode, available to watch on ITVX, Amy managed to reveal whose body was trapped under the ice before she sadly went into cardiac arrest.
Amy whispered to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) as she struggled to talk, “Matty, Nate is in the water.”
“I know you were, darling, but you are safe now,” Matty replied, not hearing what she said.
“Nate is in the water,” Amy tried to say again before telling him: “I love you.”
However, in a dramatic turn, Amy stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. Despite doctors trying to save her, Amy died, leaving Matty heartbroken.
“Can you get back in the car, please?” a police officer asked as Tracy replied: “We were in the crash. My sister’s girlfriend, Suzy, went down in that limo.”
“She’s still down there, I can’t leave her,” Vanessa sobbed.
Tracy went on: “We need to know, have you found her?”
The officer explained: “Not yet, but we have divers in the water.”
While the pair believe it is Vanessa’s girlfriend, Suzy (Martelle Edinborough), others think it could be Nate’s after Amy’s admission.
Taking to a Facebook fan page to share their thoughts about the emotional scenes, one fan pleaded: “I hope Matty remembers what she said.”
“So emotional, didn’t expect them to kill three people,” another wrote, while a third added: “Nooo Amy has died. I really thought she would survive.”
They added: “She managed to tell Matty about Nate before she died. Unfortunately, he didn’t take it in that she told him.”
Someone else went on: “I am sure when they go get Suzy’s body, they will find Nate.”
Amy wasn’t the only villager to die. Suzy died straight after the crash, and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) died in hospital from blood loss.
Liam Cavanagh also underwent surgery, but will he survive?
