Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker has shared hopes of a Meena Jutla return and she speaks for most of us with her wishes.
It’s been a couple of years since Manpreet’s sister Meena was scaring the Emmerdale villagers and putting on quite a song and dance about it as she sent them to their grave.
But, we don’t want to let Meena go, and it appears as though Rebecca is also hanging onto the idea of a return for the character, or more so for Meena’s actress.

Rebecca Sarker shares thoughts on Meena Jutla return to Emmerdale
Meena Jutla has been serving a whopping 75 year sentence behind bars which started in 2022. But, her name continues to be on the lips of many viewers and cast members who loved the character.
Speaking to the Mirror, Rebecca Sarker shared her thoughts on the possibility of the notorious serial killer to make a dramatic comeback to the Dales.
“I’d love for Paige Sandhu to come back because we got on famously well. I’m not sure how it would work with Meena though.
“Maybe a final showdown…
She then realised what this could mean for Manpreet though and quickly backtracked, sharing: “And I don’t think Manpreet would come out of that very well so no, don’t bring her back! Keep her away!”
So it appears that Rebecca quite liked the idea of Paige Sandhu returning as Meena, but so long as Manpreet doesn’t meet her maker as a result.
Could Meena Jutla ever return to Emmerdale?
Paige Sandhu left Emmerdale as Meena in 2022, with the judge sentencing her to multiple life sentences for the murders of Leanna, Andrea and Ben.
Some would say the villagers breathed a huge sigh of relief when Meena was sent to prison but they didn’t have long to wait before a couple more killers entered the Dales – this time in the form of Ella Forster and John Sugden. None had quite a patch on Meena though, let’s be honest.
But, could Meena ever return? Well, while she’s still got around 72 years left to serve behind bars, there’s always the far-fetched possibility of a prison break or a brief visiting room appearance if we’re really lucky.
We refuse to leave Meena behind in 2022, we’re desperate to see her sing ‘Run Rabbit Run’ through a cornfield one more time!
