Manny’s Secret Request To Sharon In Fire Country Season 3 Premiere Explained

Manny’s opposition to Bode crashing Gabriela’s wedding was already

evident in Fire Country season 2, episode 10. His speech about that

day being Gabriela’s happiest was what convinced Bode not to tell Gabriela

of his feelings for her, although neither Manny nor Bode knew about Gabriela actually reciprocating Bode’s feelings at that moment. While that setting made Manny’s interference a genuine concern, especially considering how he couldn’t know that Gabriela still had feelings for Bode, his request to Sharon in Fire Country season 3, episode 1 can potentially hide manipulative intentions after knowing that Gabriela chose to stop the wedding.

Manny insinuated that what he saw when he looked at Bode and Gabriela tending to spot fires was a “lovers’ quarrel,” even accusing Bode of wanting to “ruin his daughter’s wedding” to Vince. Only hearing from Vince that Gabriela ran relieved towards the victims of the crashed helicopter convinced Manny how Bode and Gabriela were emotionally involved, prompting his unusual request to Sharon. Manny wanting to keep Bode and Gabriela apart because their dynamics reminded him of him and his ex-wife Roberta proved his concern for both, but asking that of Sharon cements Bode and Gabriela’s difficulties to be together.

Manny & Sharon Can Be The Biggest Impediment To Bode & Gabriela’s Romance

Fire Country Season 3’s Reason For Keeping Bode & Gabriela Is Worse Than Prison And Diego

Sharon did not seem convinced by Manny’s appraisal of what Bode and Gabriela’s relationship could cause in Fire Country season 3, episode 1, but that does not mean that seeing them in action couldn’t change her mind. Indeed, between her supposed blindness to Gabriela and Bode’s feelings for each other and the pressure to make sure Bode’s parole went smoothly, Sharon could easily be convinced to do Manny’s bidding, especially if they were to convict Manny, as that would make his request the last before going to jail, making it imperative for her to keep her word to him.Manny and Sharon’s plan could potentially be much worse than the impediments to Bode and Gabriela’s relationship of Fire Country seasons 1 and 2. Indeed, Bode being incarcerated was supposed to stop them from starting a relationship, but Bode and Gabriela still did. Similarly, Gabriela being engaged to Diego only temporarily stopped her from thinking about Bode. However, Manny and Sharon working against them to preserve Gabriela’s future and Bode’s parole would be more difficult for them to oppose, especially if they were without good enough reasons, as it would be done in Bode and Gabriela’s interests.
