LYDIA Dingle is set to make a harrowing discovery about Samson in Emmerdale.
Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is currently serving time on remand after
he was arrested for attacking Samson Dingle (Sam Hall). Previously on the
ITV soap, Josh Cope (Osian Morgan) and Samson stormed into The Hide, wanting to harass Matty. Events ended horribly on Emmerdale when Josh pushed his ‘friend’ into Matty. He just so happened to be holding a knife at that particular moment and he accidently stabbed him. A distraught Matty was subsequently arrested as Samson was put into an ambulance as Cain (Jeff Hordley) was left fuming by the incident. On bail, he told everyone in the village the truth and insisted that Josh was the one causing trouble. However, Samson decided to lie, thinking it was better to protect his troublemaker and transphobic friend.
Matty went round to the Dingle house, in a misguided and desperate attempt to get Samson to change his story. However, he was reported to the police for breaking his bail conditions and was thrown in jail as a result of the shock betrayal. Now, Lydia (Karen Blick) will start to suspect that everything is not adding up as she witnesses a crucial moment.
In the village, Josh will threaten Samson and put pressure on him to keep lying to the police over the incident. Emmerdale’s Matty Barton given horrifying warning as he’s sent to prison Lydia will just so happen to walk by the lads while they are engaged in a tense confrontation, and will quietly observe their interaction. As such, she will then pay Moira (Natalie J. Robb) a visit, who will implore her to try and help get Matty out of prison. The main question is, will she?
