Emmerdale star Mike Parr recalled how he “instantly” clicked with new co-star Bradley Riches as he arrived in the village to make his debut.
During Thursday’s (15th May) instalment, Moira showed Ross the letter she received from Lewis Barton asking to find out more about his mum, Emma Barton.
Ross agreed to meet up with Lewis in the woods, unsure whether or not to tell him the truth about Emma and all of the terrible things she did.
The pair seem to get off to a rocky start as they couldn’t be more different than each other, however, in real life actor Mike Parr assured that they do get on very well.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News and other press, he said: “I’m not just saying this because he’s here, I’m saying this because he paid me! It’s been such a breath of fresh air to have Bradley here.
“He reminds me so much of working with Verity [Rushworth] and how well we get on. It was an instant click. He’s been such an important part of the show for cast morale in the building but also bringing a new generation of audience members into the show.”

Bradley first found fame on Netflix’s hit series Heartstopper which led to him competing in last year’s Celebrity Big Brother where he finished sixth place.
With Ross having list the majority of those he’s loved, he finds it difficult to bond with Lewis at first.
Mike explained: “It’s quite hard for Ross to get his head around because he’s lost so many people that he loves. There’s so many similarities between this character and Finn that he puts his walls up because he can’t emotionally afford to lose anybody else.
“It takes a little while for Ross to let his guard down. But you’ll see that the character is quite infectious and it’s hard for Ross to say no to him because he is very pure and it reminds him of Finn. It’s been nice for Ross to have somebody on his side, because he was starting to think that he was the touch of death.
“Everybody he gets close to seems to get killed off. He’s lost two girlfriends, four family members and he’s had a lot of unlucky situations.”
Ross will find out that Lewis grows cannabis, and sees it as a way to help Moira as her farm faces financial ruin after John causes the slurry tank to leak.
The actor continued: “He does want to form a bond with him and go into business. It’s not like Ross is trying to bully his way in. I don’t know if you remember, but Ross had a similar situation with Finn where they had a little weed grow on the side so Ross knows this industry and he kind of likes being a gangster, although he’s softening up.”
Bradley interjected: “He likes what he’s doing for medicinal purposes, trying to help people. They form a little bond and get a little side hustle.”
