Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) has gone into cardiac arrest following a crowd crush at Peggy’s in EastEnders.
Yesterday, Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) sabotaged Penny’s (Kitty Castledine)
event at the bar by increasing the amount of available tickets online. While it looked like Penny and Zack (James Farrar) hadn’t done a very good job at promoting the event, it also opened up the opportunity for more people to attend, despite the evening nearly being at full capacity before Chelsea meddled with the booking system.
As more people filed into Peggy’s, Walford residents inside like Peter (Thomas Law) and Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) quickly realised things were getting out of hand.
With Peggy’s incredibly overcrowded, a panicked Zack tried to encourage people to leave. However, with exits blocked due to the crowd, they were all trapped.
In tonight’s episode of the BBC One soap, Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and Freddie (Bobby Brazier) realised the only free exit was inside an office, where Cindy (Michelle Collins) and Junior (Micah Balfour) were continuing their affair.
As George (Colin Salmon) rushed out of the pub, the chaotic scene continued. Peter was holding Lauren after being trampled on, Junior was nursing a bleeding nose, while Callum (Tony Clay) had arrived to try and bring an element of control to the ordeal.
Meanwhile, at the Fox household, Jack (Scott Maslen) and Denise (Diane Parish) were inside talking about their relationship and upcoming divorce.
The ‘civilised ending’ to their marriage was interrupted because of Callum’s call, who quickly informed Jack of the commotion outside.
Denise and Jack managed to find Chelsea and Penny outside but then Jack’s face dropped as he saw Amy getting wheeled away into an ambulance.
Jack wasn’t able to gather any information on Amy’s state as seconds later, she went into cardiac arrest.
As Amy is rushed to hospital, how will the aftermath play out for her?
Will this crowd crush result in Amy dying?
