Coronation Street brings the emotion next week, as confirmed in my new spoiler videos, with a sad goodbye on the cards plus an unexpected theory about a blackmailer.

Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) spends the day with sister Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) as they reminisce about the past in what proves to be a heartfelt scene between the two siblings.

Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), meanwhile, is left with food for thought when the blackmailer makes contact once more as she wonders if the culprit is much closer to home than she initially suspected.

There’s also trouble at the station for Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) after a run-in with a cobbles villain, which leaves a fellow officer wanting answers.

Monday May 5

Julie and Eileen enjoy some time together at the lake.

They reminisce about Julie’s love life, with Julie confirming that Brian was her one true love. She asks Eileen to keep an eye on him for her and tells her sister that there is nowhere she’d rather be than right there with her.

Wednesday May 7

Kit is forced to interview Mick after he’s arrested for an assault on Theo. Mick appears to have some sort of hold over Kit, who suspends the interview early following a loaded comment from the criminal.

A police officer asks why Kit let Mick go, reminding him of the witnesses who saw the attack – but Kit snaps at her.

Friday May 9

Lauren speculates that her blackmailer could be Bobby, much to the horror of Betsy, who leaps to his defence. Determined to find out the truth, Lauren sets a trap to see if her theory is correct.
