Emmerdale fans believe that Kim Tate will face heartbreak after this week’s huge Eddie reveal.
Kim (Claire King) has found love with a man named Eddie, six months after the heartbreaking death of her husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
The pair have recently been exchanging flirtatious texts and having numerous off-camera phone conversations.
Earlier this week, Kim shared the news of her blossoming romance with her stepdaughter, Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), during a lunch at the Hide.
Despite initial surprise, Dawn expressed happiness for Kim and believed that her late father would approve of Kim moving forward, reports Belfast Live.
After much speculation, it was revealed that Kim’s new partner is actually Dr Crowley (James Hillier), who was previously enlisted by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) to carry out his covert kidney transplant.
In Friday’s episode (11 July), Joe was taken aback when Kim introduced Crowley, aka Eddie, to her family at Home Farm.
As Kim and Dawn busied themselves with dinner preparations, Joe took the opportunity to confront Crowley, urging him to keep his distance from his family.
“This sick game you’re playing ends right now or I will tell Kim exactly what kind of monster you are,” he warned.
Crowley responded with a veiled threat: “If you want to keep your lovely family safe, that may not be the best idea.”
He went on: “I’ve had a blast getting to know your granny. To be honest, she’s quite a catch and you never mentioned that she could buy and sell you several times over.”
Crowley later accused Joe of being “complicit” for not informing Kim about his true identity. He also revealed his intention to empty Kim’s bank account.
The dramatic scenes unfolded after Joe was knocked unconscious by his ex-employee, Shaun (James Boyland), who was working for Crowley.
The surgeon confessed he was drowning in debt and coerced Joe into surrendering his life savings or risk Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) kidney being removed.
Trapped on an operating table, Joe had no choice but to comply with Crowley’s demands, instructing Shaun to transfer the funds from his bank.
Joe issued a stern warning: “If I ever see you again… I will get my money back, you are not going to get away with this.”
Following the revelation of Crowley’s true identity as Eddie, several Emmerdale viewers have been expressing their concerns for Kim, fearing she might become an unwitting victim in his vendetta against Joe.
“Crowley doesn’t care about Kim at all, she’s going to get her heart broken when she realises who her new boyfriend really is,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another chimed in: “Yeah Crowley is defo going to betray Kim just to get closer to Joe,” while a third said: “I’m really worried for Kim.”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “This is not going to end well at all.”
