When one company is involved in a string of accidents, it’s not hard
to assume something is going on. Is that the case in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 5?
The new episode will give Kidd and Severide a chance to work together.
Pascal is finally off Kidd’s back for a bit. Mouch makes it very clear that Kidd is a lieutenant that Pascal wants to keep and even forces Pascal to look back at all of Kidd’s previous calls. This is something that Pascal should have done in the first place, suggesting that there’s either racism or sexism involved.
However, it looks like Pascal has been willing to eat his own hat for a bit. Now it’s time to see if that continues.
The promo gives us a look at one of the calls for the night. There’s an accident in the middle of Chicago, and it involves a trucking company. That accident is about to get explosive, but will Severide be able to get one of the victims out in time?
This is sure to lead to a bigger investigation of the night. Severide and Kidd realize that this is not the first accident this trucking company has had. There have been a string of accidents, and they want to look into why that is. Surely this should be an insurance or a police matter, but it’s always fun watching the two play detective together. Is it a case of poor truck care, or are drivers forced to work longer hours than they legally should?
Meanwhile, we’ll get to see Kylie on Engine. At the end of the previous episode, Herrmann found a way around the “MK” problem. Ritter could move to Truck and Kylie could come to Engine and be part of the 51 family. It was the perfect solution, and now we’ll see Kylie and Herrman work together on getting new radios.
Then there’s Violet’s birthday. This is sure to lead to Carver coming along for the celebrations, and it could mean that Violet and Tory have their showdown. It’s about time that Tory’s actions are exposed. Nobody needs a pick-me girl around!
Most of the episodes focus on the collision, which is sure to kickstart the episode.
