EastEnders fans are fearing Teddy Mitchell will be the one ‘in danger’ after the soap confirmed a dramatic car crash involving a number of residents next week

It’s been a dramatic time for Teddy Mitchell in EastEnders. Recently, the character has had to deal with his ex-wife Nicola Mitchell covering up the murder of their son Harry’s ex-wife Shireen. Now, his son is no longer speaking to him and has moved out to Billy and Honey’s house.

However, those big problems aren’t Teddy’s only issues, as he’s yet to find out that he’s not the father of his youngest son, Barney – Zack is. Spoilers have now revealed the secret is set to come out next week, and many fans fear it may be the end for Teddy as a trailer of a car crash last week asked: “Who’s in danger?”

Now, spoilers for next week reveal that Teddy is involved alongside a number of other characters in cars ahead of the incident. One of the cars ends up going over a bridge and into the water below, with the fallout kept completely under wraps.

Prior to the accident, the secret will be revealed that Barney isn’t Teddy’s son. The Mitchells then find about Zack’s plan to kidnap Barney and Harry takes drastic measures and locks him in his boot.

However, Teddy fears his son will go too far and when he spots his brother Billy Mitchell taking Honey and Nigel to the cinema, he intercepts them. He begs them to follow Harry to save Zack before it’s too late. One car veers off the road and into the river but as of yet, it’s not certain which.

Of course, fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter to speculate and many believe they’ve spotted clues that lead to Teddy being in danger. One fan, who thinks they’ve spotted a huge clue said: “Teddy’s actor has a new project coming up on his IMBD. It’d be a shame to lose him so early in the game.”

Another fan predicted: “Teddy- this would make the most sense as Zach could bond with Barney Nicola could try to blame Shireen’s death on him & it would send Harry into a spiral.”

Another said: “I think Teddy is going to die – only because I want Nicola to go back to prison so that Harry and Shireen can get justice.

“Meanwhile, I don’t want Zack to die as Sharon can’t lose another family member so soon after Martin and Zack deserves a new direction,” while a fourth agreed: “I think Teddy is definitely a goner #Eastenders.”

In tonight’s episode, Zack could be seen brushing off any attempts to make up with his father, but could it be too late soon?

The soap has not confirmed any deaths yet – just that some will be in danger. However, spoilers reveal the “survivors scramble” to the bank and try to save “those trapped” inside the vehicle.
