There will be no new episode of Emmerdale tonight due to coverage of the UEFA European Women’s Championship.
Soaps are often taken off the air to accommodate live sport action and Emmerdale is the victim of that today (Thursday 3 July).
Following the drama this week, in which fans praised the refreshing plot, viewers now have a little wait on their hands to see what happens next. Here’s when Emmerdale will return.

Emmerdale not on tonight – when is it next on?
There will be no episode of Emmerdale tonight due to ITV showing Spain v Portugal in the women’s Euros from 7.15pm.
There will also be no episode on Friday due to coverage of Germany v Poland in the same competition.
Fans will actually have to wait a little while for their next dose of Emmerdale, with the soap not returning until 7.30pm on Tuesday, 8 July.
This week has seen a lot of drama in the Dales, particularly for Paddy – who found himself the victim of a dog attack after he rescued a sheep on newcomer Celia’s farm.
Joe Tate, meanwhile, has been trying to figure out who is harassing him. Fans will now have to wait a while to get all the answers.

What is coming up in Emmerdale?
Spoilers for next week reveal Joe continues to be harassed by the mystery stalker, and things take a big turn when he finds a blackmail letter demanding £100,000.
A paranoid Joe gets suspicious of his henchman Shaun, so decides to sack him. That’s a bad decision though as Shaun turns on Joe and knocks him out with a shovel. Joe soon finds himself at the mercy of former accomplice Dr Crowley – what does he want?
Meanwhile, Charity Dingle is not happy when she overhears Cain encouraging Sarah to look into surrogacy.
Charity does not want Cain raising Sarah’s hopes, but it looks like it’s too late for that.
Elsewhere, Vinny continues to struggle with his sexuality as he tries to understand what he feels for Kammy. But when fianceé Gabby is involved in a car crash, Vinny is forced to bury his doubts.
