Jelly Roll has landed another acting gig!
In September 2024, the 40-year-old country star appeared in season 2, episode 2, of Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King. This week, he joined American Idol the first-ever artist-in-residence. Now, the “Save Me” singer has an upcoming cameo in CBS’s Fire Country.
Jelly Roll is set to guest star in Season 3, episode 17, of the Northern California-based firefighting drama. Aptly titled “Fire and Ice,” the episode follows the station 42 crew as they respond to a ski resort accident in which a chair lift malfunctions. According to the press release for the episode, Jelly Roll will play Noah, “a healthcare worker and former convict who is in the process of turning his life around.”
In an interview from set, he explains, “I really found myself in this guy. When I came home from my last time being incarcerated, I was so determined to change who I was as a human. If music didn’t work, I have a feeling I wouldn’t have been far fetched from being Noah working someplace just trying to help people.”
Friday doesn’t solely mark Jelly’s second foray into network television—it’s the day his new song, “Dreams Don’t Die” drops, as well.
In other words, it’s expected to be a very good Friday for Jelly Roll fans.
