After Eden’s untimely death, a cloud of melancholy descended upon the village. The former attorney
in Emmerdale had a heart-to-heart with his dad when he suddenly collapsed on the living room floor. Despite Manpreet’s valiant attempts to revive him, Eden passed away in the hospital. This left Charles, his father, to break the dreadful news to Claudette alone. Charles is haunted by the fact that Ethan spent his final day preparing for jail after Charles turned him in. If Charles hadn’t done so, Ruby might never have learned of his involvement in Nikki’s accident and would never have hit him with her car. Ruby is wracked with guilt, believing she killed Ethan with her automobile. She confides in Manpreet, who is struggling with Ethan’s death and its impact on Charles. Ruby, feeling responsible, decides to support the bereaved family and vows to turn herself into the police to win back Nikki’s trust. Despite her fragility in making this decision, Nikki is compelled to support her.
Charles, however, is inconsolable as he gazes at Ethan’s grave. When Caleb learns of Ruby’s plan to turn herself in, he is shocked. Ruby visits Charles, who is reeling from the news that the coroner revealed the actual cause of Ethan’s death. Ruby’s shame might soon become public, further complicating Charles’ grief as he tries to bury his son. Ruby Fox Milligan, a troublemaker in Emmerdale, is a character to watch. There are speculations that she might be plotting to murder her husband, Caleb, possibly through poisoning. Earlier this year, Beth Cordingley portrayed the possessive and fiery Ruby, who arrived in the ITV village determined to mend her marriage. However, she discovered Caleb’s affair with Tracy Robinson, leading to numerous arguments and reconciliations with his long-lost family, the Dingles. Ruby’s turbulent relationship with Caleb has caused much drama. Despite her efforts to keep Caleb to herself, she has gone so far as to plan retaliation against his rival, Kim Tate.
ITV viewers speculate that Ruby, left to her own devices, may take drastic measures to isolate Caleb further, possibly poisoning or even killing him. After Caleb collapsed in agony, fans on social media believe Ruby is behind it. Emmerdale has seen its share of murderers, including Cameron Murray and the evil nurse Meena Jutla. Recently, Jai Sharma was suspected of killing his brother Rishi. Is Ruby evolving into another formidable antagonist? Next week’s spoilers indicate that Ruby and local doctor Manpreet Sharma will have a heated argument because Ruby isn’t helping Caleb with his health issues. Heath’s burial was a poignant moment, with Bob Hope and Brenda Walker too unwell to attend. Heath’s twin, Kathy, who walked behind the hearse, received support from Brenda’s partner, Eric Pollard. Bob and Kathy had a heart-to-heart after the funeral, with Bob promising to stand by her despite not explicitly believing her innocence. Meanwhile, Angelica, overcome with guilt, confessed to Nicola that she was driving the car when Heath died. As the show ended, Nicola cradled her daughter, facing a moral dilemma.
