Emmerdale’s recent episode left fans on the edge of their seats,
with many speculating that Cain Dingle (portrayed by Jeff Hordley)
could take the fall for Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) after she stabs
her husband Tom King (James Chase), and leaves him fighting for his life. In the drama-filled Friday instalment, Belle was seen rushing to the hospital, in a panic to find out whether Tom had survived. Meanwhile, Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and Sam (James Hooton) try everything in their power to prevent Belle from making any rash decisions.
A bewildered Belle demanded answers, asking: “What is going on?” only to receive a stern reply from Vinny: “You shouldn’t be here.”
While Belle sought news on Toms condition, Sam did not hold back his wish for a negative outcome, clearly saying, “that would be the best for all of us.”
Determined Belle affirmed: “I need to go in there,” trying to move past her relatives. However, Vinny begged her, “You need to go home, I am begging you, Belle,” reports Leeds Live.

Confronting the gravity of her situation, Belle confided in Sam, admitting with regret: “I already have, haven’t I, Sam? If Tom dies, that is another life I have taken, how do I live with myself? “.
She also voiced her morbid outlook, stating: “And if he survives, if he lands me in it, then my life is over. So whatever happens I am screwed.”
In a poignant scene, Belle was seen crying out: “He has won, hasn’t he?”
Since the incident where Tom was stabbed, viewers have been speculating about Belle’s involvement and whether she was responsible, pondering if a member of her family might take the blame to protect her.

Despite Cain’s announcement that he was heading to Scotland to visit their father, many fans are convinced that the Dingle patriarch would end up in jail for Belle’s sake if necessary.
On a Facebook fan page, one viewer speculated, “I think Cain will take the rap and do the sentence.”
