Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) will have just unpacked her bags before
repacking them to leave Walford again in EastEnders next week.
The beloved character left Albert Square last month to visit son Sean
Slater (Robert Kazinsky), amid troubles in her relationship with Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman). Jean was upset to learn that Harvey had been hiding the fact he was giving money to Maya Houssain (Bharti Patel) as a way of trying to make up for his son Aaron Monroe (Charlie Wernham) beating up her husband in a racist attack in 2021.
After telling Harvey she wasn’t sure if she could be with someone she doesn’t trust, she bid her family a temporary goodbye to spend time with Sean.
Jean is back in Walford next week, but it seems she isn’t quite ready to forgive Harvey completely.
The cab driver is disappointed when Jean refuses his offer of a holiday to Greece.
However, later in the week he appears makes progress with Jean, who is touched when he offers her and daughter Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) the chance to go on the holiday instead of him.
But with Jean set to leave Walford again, can her relationship with Harvey withstand more time apart?
