Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve sussed out the skeletons in Kit Green’s closet.

New copper on the block Kit (played by Jacob Roberts) arrived on the scene last year as Bernie Winter’s (portrayed by Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost offspring. He wasted no time getting up to mischief and causing a stir.

Kit’s had his share of spicy romances, entangling with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) and currently Sarah (Tina O’Brien), while also turning a blind eye to various nefarious activities in the neighborhood. His stint in Weatherfield has been anything but dull.

The plot thickens now, especially since Kit recently came toe-to-toe with tough guy and show newcomer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton). For those who have kept their ears to the ground, it’s no secret that earlier this year, there were hints of a mysterious link between Kit and Mick along with Mick’s spouse Lou (Farrel Hegarty).

In the May 7 episode, we saw cop Kit squirm during an interrogation with Mick concerning an assault at the police station, reports Leicestershire Live. Kit barely grilled Mick before letting him off the hook.

But the drama didn’t stop there – Mick later trapped Kit outside, reminding him of their “mates” past, snidely remarking, “I heard you had become a copper. First I thought, no way, he’d never do that. It just shows you how wrong you can be about a person. Not the first time though. Happy days, hey mate?”.

Mick and Kit’s recent encounter has led to a chilling warning from Mick, who ominously stated: “That’s the thing about the past, it always comes back to haunt you.” This has left fans buzzing with theories about their dark history.

Corrie viewers are convinced they’ve pieced together Mick’s leverage over Kit. On a Coronation Street fan page on Facebook, someone posted: “Why is Kit scared of Mick.”

Fans flocked to the comments section, speculating that Kit might have been involved in someone’s death when he was younger, with Mick possibly helping to cover up the crime.

One fan theorised: “Kit accidentally killed someone and they all covered it up.” Another added: “I think Mick probably took the blame for something Kit did!”

And yet another viewer exclaimed: “I reckon they both killed someone!”
