Heartfelt Graveside Scenes Unveiled in EastEnders Ahead of Devastating Exit

New EastEnders pictures show devastating graveside scenes for Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

The snaps come following the news that Louisa has wrapped filming on her current stint, and will bow out in upcoming scenes.

The actress reprised her role for the short stint to coincide with the BBC soap’s 40th anniversary celebrations, and was quickly entwined in an explosive love triangle.

After revealing to ex-husband Martin Fowler (James Bye) that she had given birth to their son during her three years away from Walford, they found mutual ground and reconnected.

This was despite Stacey harbouring her own feelings for him, and when she finally confessed, he made it clearly that his heart was with Ruby.

Just moments later, flames tore through The Queen Vic pub and the two found themselves in a perilous situation.

Realising that he was dying, Martin admitted that he did still hold a card for Stacey, and they mapped out what their life might look like if he survived.

Since then, she’s had to battle with her feelings – whilst also trying not to break Ruby by admitting the truth. With nowhere left to turn, she has fled to visit brother Sean.

Following Martin’s funeral, the two women are set for a huge showdown next week.

Tensions are rising when Stacey returns home drunk, and has to be sobered up by Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy). Seeing her mum’s condition, Lily Slater’s (Lillia Turner) resentment begins to grow.

After the emotional service, Martin’s friends and family gather for his wake – and Ruby can’t contain her anger anymore.

Emotions bubble over, and she and Stacey meet at the allotment. Shocking home truths are exposed, and any chance of the once best friends reuniting are blown apart.

Ruby is desperate for a fresh start, and begins to pack her bags to leave Walford.

Across the road, Stacey is given food for thought from mum Jean (Gillian Wright), and decides to try and catch her before she goes.

Unfortunately, Zack Hudson (James Farrar) informs her that Ruby has already left.

As the new paparazzi shots show, Lacey Turner and Louisa Lytton can be seen with youngster Leo – who plays Ruby’s son Roman – at Martin’s graveside.

The two women are tearful as they look over the burial ground.

In another picture, they’re seen to hug and hold hands, as Lacey holds Louisa’s face.
