The Friends Experience is opening in London and will be the first UK
flagship location of the popular tourist spot.
The experience is inspired by the globally loved TV series and allows fans
to relive some of their favourite moments, while also putting themselves in the famous sets ces, including one in and another in Boston.
Others have toured around the world in various different cities, but for the first time it will be pitching up full-time outside of the USA
The Friends Experience will be making London its long-term home this August, in a brand-new, purpose-built location at the ExCeL
The new attraction will be open in time to celebrate Friends’ 30th anniversary, which will be coming later this year.The One in London promises to “bring fans one step closer to their favourite show and characters” with full-scale re-created sets, backdrops, costumes, props and memorabilia. Included in those are Rachel and Monica’s famous purple door, Chandler and Joey’s recliners and the legendary orange sofa. There will also be fun behind-the-scenes aspects for guests to explore, including insight from the show’s creators and storytelling from costume designers.There, guests will be able to enjoy themed food and drinks, while immersing themselves in classic moments from the show and making the most of memorable photo opportunities
Visitors will be able to step inside a recreated wedding scene at the semi-demolished church and engage with a 3D interpretation of Joey’s London map.
The Friends Experience will of course also feature the show’s iconic coffee house, Central Perk, which has been fully re-created for fans to have a drink in.Alongside every iconic set re-creation and photo opportunity, guests will also have the chance to visit a themed gift shop boasting exclusive merchandise.
