Monday August 19, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Summer realizes that Kyle doesn’t trust Audra,
Nate suspects that Victor is the investor, and Audra fears that Glissade will end badly.
Friday’s recap: Billy confronts Chelsea while Sally pleads with Adam to come clean. Meanwhile, Summer
has a meltdown at Phyllis for accusing her of jealousy. (This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on August 19. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)At the GCAC, Audra and Nate ask Kyle how much he has thrown her under the bus with their investor.
He reminds her that this is a private matter. He and Audra walk across the room, bickering about their lack of trust in each other.
She accuses him of trying to sabotage her and demands to know what he discussed with their boss.
CBS
He says the discussion was only about the custody fight. She hopes he’s not being deceptive. He reminds her that she was the one having a meeting without him.
CBS
Summer interrupts and asks to speak with her ex.
CBS
Before she can, Audra announces there are a few things they need to clarify.
Summer has nothing to say to her. Audra doesn’t like being dragged into this custody fight. Apparently, Summer can’t stop thinking about her.
Audra says she’s not her problem unless she wants her to be. Kyle tries to keep things civil.
CBS
Summer and her ex step aside to talk.
Audra returns to Nate. “You gotta know this is not going to work out, right?” he says. He’s talking about her partnership with Kyle.
CBS
She admits that things are tense. She needs time to manipulate it to her advantage.
The investor has ordered them to work together peacefully. Kyle is a safety net.
Nate assumes there’s more but she won’t tell him anything. He’s guessed who the investor is: Victor.
CBS
She suggests that’s just a conspiracy theory but he thinks it makes sense. Using Kyle is a way of hurting Jack.
Swearing him to confidentiality, Audra confirms that Victor is behind Glissade.
At first, she was thrilled, but now she doesn’t like where things are headed. None of it’s good.
CBS
She didn’t think Victor’s ulterior motives mattered and she could manage the situation. That gives Nate a chuckle.
Audra thought she could have a win-win but she’s realized that this is all just part of a proxy war. Nate wonders why she cares.
Her job is now contingent on a family feud.
Kyle and Summer go down to the lounge. After a deep breath, she apologizes for how their last conversation went.
CBS
He’s sorry for overreacting. She admits they know how to push each other’s buttons.
Kyle says getting Audra out of his life was a step too far. He asks why she hates Audra so much.
CBS
She doesn’t trust her and doesn’t understand how he can. She’s sure Audra is a negative influence.
Summer thought he learned his lesson when she crossed him. He claims it was more complicated.
CBS
She doesn’t want Audra near their son. What bothers her the most is that he can’t see what’s going on.
She senses he doesn’t trust Audra either. He claims he just jumped on a great job offer.
Summer doesn’t think that’s enough. Why is he sticking this out?
CBS
Michael stops by Victor’s office and Newman and tells him he has a report to make. Victor hopes it’s something damaging to Billy.
CBS
He’s disappointed to hear that Billy has been living a scandal-free life.
Michael adds he’s found out something he won’t like. He dug into Jill’s sudden relinquishment of control.
CBS
He learned she’s in London with Snapper getting treatment for her cardiac issues.
“Sorry to hear that,” Victor says.
CBS
He assumes that Jill is just testing Billy and wishes she’d handed the company over to Lily.
Billy didn’t inherit his parents’ competence.
CBS
Michael assumes he’s looking to take over the company. Victor says he will swoop in after Billy ruins the company and then he will put Nikki in charge.
They both think that’s the best for Katherine’s legacy.
Michael hopes that he’s not about to weaponize Jill’s medical condition against her son.
Victor asks him to find out about the severity of her heart problems and suggests he talk to Chance or Lauren.
CBS
That doesn’t sound like a great idea to Michael but he’ll see what he can do.
Victor says that they can get back on good footing if he brings him useful information.
On the Crimson Lights patio, Billy tells Chelsea that he overheard her in the park and knows she’s hiding something.
CBS
She claims she’s just concerned about her son.
He knows this is eating her up and begs her to tell him what happened in Baltimore.
Chelsea tells him she loves him and what they have but she can’t deal with this right now.
CBS
Her son is alone upstairs and she needs to get back to him.
He still thinks they need to discuss this. She says it will have to be another time because she needs to keep an eye on her son.
Billy interprets this as meaning she has no time for their relationship.
“Maybe I do need a little break,” she says. He can understand that and will give her space but she can’t avoid this forever.

Billy hopes she understands that he needs her and he can see the stress is tearing her up.
CBS
She repeats that she can’t do this right, kisses him, and walks away.
At their penthouse, Sally begs Adam to stop deceiving and gaslighting her and just tell her what happened.
CBS
What happened that made Chelsea feel so guilty? He says he was just a jerk and a fight got out of hand.
The Connor thing has them on edge and they are worrying about every moment with their son.
CBS
Sally understands how difficult this has been.
Adam wishes he’d been more attentive to her than he has been. He’s trying to get a handle on this.
She wants to believe him, but she can’t shake the feeling he’s lying.
He explains that Chelsea is just struggling with her guilt as a parent and doesn’t want their son to find out.
CBS
They’ve had to change how they parent and it has been overwhelming. It doesn’t help that Billy keeps hammering them.
He asks her not to let Billy’s paranoia get to her.
She admits that she’s felt farther away from Adam since she moved in than when they lives apart.
He tells her that having her there means everything to him. Sally wishes she could believe that but she doesn’t.
CBS
Adam promises things will get better. Sobbing, she demands to know when and then walks out.
Later, Chelsea brings Connor by. He goes to his room.
Chelsea admits she pushed Billy away again, almost to the brink. She can’t put him off much longer.
CBS
This is taking too much energy from their son. She can’t spend her time worrying about this.
He feels the same way. It would help everyone if Billy would back off.
CBS
She says that won’t happen and they are acting like something happened because it did. He urges her to stop being so hard on herself.
It hurts him to keep having to lie to Sally about this. She loves him and knows him well enough to know he’s lying.
CBS
They need to find a way to put this behind them once and for all. Chelsea thinks it’s too late.
The only way out is to tell the truth.

Sally finds Billy in the park.
CBS
They talk about their latest confrontations with their partners. She’s tired of trying to fill in the blanks.
