Since “Abbott” is pretty much synonymous with Jabot, Jack will object to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)
attaching their family name to Chancellor and associating it with something else.
Nevertheless, Billy will argue that he has just as much right to use the family name as Jack.
Besides, Billy claims this is really about honoring Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) legacy, so he’ll push Jack to understand and stand down on this.
The Young and the Restless Tuesday, August 13 Spoilers: Phyllis Warns Lily, Nikki’s Stunning Choice, Billy’s Move Riles Jack
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll approach Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) in Tuesday’s Y&R episode and offer up some guidance that Lily didn’t ask for.
Phyllis will think they should talk woman to woman, so Lily may suspect she’s got an agenda since that’s almost always the case with her.
Even so, Phyllis will offer up what she views as valuable advice – though it may turn out to be more of a warning about wildcard Billy and all the drama that’s bubbling up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Of course, Billy could throw Victor a curveball if he goes through with stepping back and makes it part of the announcement as planned.
Victor was counting on that announcement to be about Billy’s expanded role, which he also expected to be the downfall of Abbott-Chancellor.
Billy’s decision to go behind the curtain instead could throw Victor for a loop, but he might see through the strategy and refuse to back off his takeover plans.
However, it turns out Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is about to make a stunning choice of her own – one that could affect her future and derail Victor’s scheme.
Nikki may think the plan needs a shakeup in light of Billy stepping out of the spotlight.
If this leads to Nikki making some sort of pitch to Lily or backing out of the takeover entirely, Victor won’t be happy.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will question Nikki’s judgment in the coming episodes, so stick with us for more predictions on what she’ll do and updates on how Victor will react to the news.
