You couldn’t have Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) back in EastEnders without re-exploring the sizzling tension between him and ex Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
And that moment has come in tomorrow’s (Wednesday February 26) episode of the BBC soap, as the pair share a drink and the sparks are evident.
Grant recently helped save Sharon’s life, earning the gratitude of her current partner Teddy (Roland Monookian).
And, up until now, Sharon’s relationship has been going swimmingly.
But there’s something about Grant that awakens a different side to Sharon, and the feeling is certainly mutual.

It is eventually discovered by Nicola ( of all people, who uses it as leverage against her sparring partner.
As for what this is, it remains unconfirmed but there’s every chance it could be a dalliance with Grant that Sharon wants to keep hidden.
As for Grant, he will be gone by then – but he wants Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) to go with him back to Portugal.
Having discovered that Nigel is terminally ill with early on-set dementia, Grant wants to be there for his friend, feeling like he has failed Phil and not wanting to make the same mistake twice.
But what decision will Nigel come to?
