EastEnders reveals new Cindy threat after birth drama in early iPlayer release

EastEnders’ Cindy Beale has issued Kathy with a sinister threat, following Lauren Branning’s dramatic labour.

Cindy’s surprise return led to some big secrets being revealed, including that Kathy attacked Cindy on Christmas Day and that Cindy pushed Ian in front of Reiss’ car – which caused the explosion in The Vic.

She was shunned by her whole family, but when she later called round to confront heavily pregnant Lauren, Cindy discovered that she had gone into labour.

Cindy was forced to help Lauren in today’s episode, but when she was told it would be an hour’s wait for an ambulance, she had to call them a taxi.

Peter, Ian and Kathy soon heard the news and made their way to the hospital, but in the meantime, Lauren had only Cindy for support.

She panicked about what her previous addiction might mean for her unborn baby, and she had an emotional heart-to-heart with Cindy about motherhood and their beloved Lucy.

With Cindy by her side, Lauren gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and the Beales arrived soon after to meet the new addition to the family.

As Lauren and Peter announced they were naming their baby Jimmy – after Lauren’s grandad Jim – Cindy tried once more to make amends with her family.

But Peter told his mum that the evening’s events hadn’t changed anything and told her to leave, and Cindy was even rejected by Lauren.

Cindy realised that she wouldn’t be getting her family back, so she then decided to go after something else – telling Ian and Kathy that she wanted Beale’s Eels, the chippy and the house.

She reasoned that Ian couldn’t change his story about the night of the explosion, but she could easily tell the police that Kathy attacked her.

“I want what I’m due,” Cindy said to Kathy. “And if not, let’s just see what those witnesses have to say about your confession earlier, shall we?”

Will Kathy and Ian give in to Cindy’s demands, or will they decide to fight back?
