Eric’s recent health troubles have forced him to re-evaluate his life and accept that he needs some help.

Kind-hearted Kerry has been on hand to support her friend, and arranged for Pollard to get medical assistance at home. Eric was annoyed by Kerry’s interference, but came round to the idea after suffering a second fall.

With a care package now in place, Pollard’s thoughts have turned to his future. Pollard knows his Parkinson’s is only going to get worse, and this means he may not be able to manage Wishing Well Barn for much longer. With that in mind, he starts considering the possibility of selling up.

Meanwhile, Kerry is eager to mark Pollard’s upcoming 80th birthday. She decides to arrange him a surprise party at David’s.

Kerry pulls out all the stops for the occasion – decorating the shop with balloons and laying on a buffet for guests to feast on. And of course, there’s bubbles for everyone to raise a toast to the birthday boy.

Pollard is overwhelmed when he arrives at his party and finds all his loved ones gathered there to celebrate him.

Kerry is absolutely buzzing that she’s managed to pull off the surprise for Pollard. She is also delighted to see how much he’s enjoying his party.

But the happy mood suddenly shifts when Pollard announces he’s planning on selling the barn. Kerry is horrified at the thought of him giving up his home, and leaving her without one.
