It’s Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) funeral in Emmerdale this week, and it sparks the return of Cara (Carryl Thomas), his mum.
Nate was murdered by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) last year, but his body in the lake was only found fairly recently.
A devastated Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has attempted to process the news, but he’s faced abuse from Nate’s partner Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) at the same time, who believes that Cain killed his own son.
As a result of this, Tracy has banned Cain from the funeral.
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) stepped in to try and help the situation, but Tracy misinterpreted what she said at one point and believed that Belle was accusing her of killing Nate. In a state of anger once more, Tracy banned the entire Dingle family.

This week, John spends the lead up to the funeral panicking. He tries to persuade Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) not to attend, but he’s adamant they need to go and pay their respects.
In one last ditch attempt to change things, Aaron wonders if John can get Tracy to change her mind about the Dingles attending the funeral. He begrudgingly appeals to Tracy, but isn’t successful.
In the pub, Nate’s memorial commences. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Cain channels his grief into anger and has another rant about Tracy. Just as Caleb (William Ash) manages to get his brother to relax, Cara enters, and she is furious to see Cain looking so jovial.
