Oh, how the mighty have fallen… into a puddle of their own guilt! Carter was once the poster child for loyalty and integrity, but those days feel like ancient history. After pulling off one of the most shocking power moves in Bold and the Beautiful history and wrestling Forrester Creations out from under Ridge, Eric, and Steffy, he’s starting to crumble under the weight of his actions. Who could have seen this coming? (Okay, everyone but Carter.)
From Power Grab to Power Regret
His regret is real. So real, in fact, that he literally cried on Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) shoulder. That’s right, folks! The man who was once a steely legal eagle has turned into a walking, talking guilt machine. And just when he seemed this close to a full redemption arc, in walked Hope (Annika Noelle) and whispered sweet nothings about power and control. One pep talk later, and Carter is back to standing tall…well, for now.
But how much longer can he fake it? Carter’s conscience is eating him alive, and no amount of Hope’s manipulation can silence that little voice in his head screaming, You done messed up! If Carter doesn’t start fixing his mess soon, there may be no going back. There’s only so much the Forresters are willing to put up with.
A Breakup, A Breakdown, or Both?
So, what’s next for Carter? Does he finally get rid of the woman who’s leading him down this dark path? Because if Carter wants to fix his life, dumping Hope is step numero uno. Hope’s brand of encouragement has been more toxic takeover queen than a supportive partner. Everyone, including her own mother, sees what’s going on there. Poor Carter is blinded by love…or is it just lust?
If Carter is truly serious about making amends, he’s got a long road ahead. He needs to face Ridge, Steffy, and Eric like a man—not a pawn. He needs to admit that he let ambition (and Hope) steer him wrong. And he definitely needs to start sleeping with one eye open because Steffy does not forgive easily.
The way things are going, Carter has two choices, he can break up with Hope and redeem himself, or stay the course and risk becoming the next major villain. What will he do? Let’s hope he makes the right choice… and fast!
