Following Kara Killmer’s exit from NBC‘s Chicago Fire, a new paramedic is checking into Season 12. Jocelyn Hudon (Acapulco, Romance With a Twist) has joined the cast in a recurring role with a series regular option, sources close to production tell Deadline

Season 12 has been a time of change on Fire. In addition to Killmer’s departure

following a festive wedding to—the love of her life— Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) at

a fish store, Rome Flynn’s Derek Gibson quietly said goodbye in this week’s episode.

But this is Chicago Fire, so who knows if/when these actors could come back to reprise their roles or to boss their friends around as directors. Speaking of which, Brian Tee will direct episode 911 this season of his former series Chicago Med and Jesse Lee Soffer will direct a Season 11 episode of Chicago P.D. One can hope Soffer is returning as an actor as well, with Tracy Spiridakos leaving after 8 seasons on the police procedural. Here’s hoping she gets her happily ever after.

Summer Olympics Events In Paris To Be Offered In AMC, IMAX Movie Theaters NBC recently renewed all three One Chicago series—Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.—for the 2024-25 season. Med was renewed for Season 10, Fire for Season 13 and P.D. for Season 12. All three shows are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment. Hudon is arriving on the scene with a lengthy background in romantic Hallmark films, so feel free to weigh in on potential love interests for her stat. One Chicago is a big universe after all.

Hudon was recently nominated for best actress in a feature at the 2024 Mammoth Film Festival for her leading role in The Fall. She’s most known for portraying the character Campbell in the FX series Dave and is also known for her role as Abby in Guillermo Del Toro’s The Strain. This year, Hudon starred in Falling in Love in Niagra and Romance With a Twist for Hallmark. Her TV credits also roles in Apple’s Acapulco from Eugenio Derbez, When Hope Calls for Hallmark and NBC’s Irrational. She is repped by Greene Talent and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
