Fire Country Season 2 Will Have Shocking Developments For Bode & Gabriela’s Relationship

Bode and Gabriela’s relationship will experience a shocking turn of events in

the forthcoming Fire Country season 2. Created by the trio of Max Thieriot,

Tony Phelan and Joan Rater for CBS, the show follows Bode Donovan, a

young convict who joins California’s inmate firefighter program in hopes of reducing his sentence. The show’s 22-episode first season cast was led by Theriot as Bode, alongside Lucifer alum Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Billy Burke and Stephanie Arcila, who plays Gabriela, Bode’s love interest.

Now, in a recent interview with TVInsider ahead of the release of Fire Country season 2, Thieriot reveals that his on-screen relationship with Stephanie Arcila will have developments that might surprise fans of the action drama show. While he doesn’t reveal what exactly the surprise would be, he states that things are not going to be in the same place for Bode and Gabriela that they were at the ending of Fire Country season 1. Read his full comments below:

It’s six months later, you know. I think we teased a little bit in the trailer. I think we see something happening in the trailer, and it’s out there. I think people are gonna see that things are not in the same place that they were. Whether that’s Bode’s fault or her fault or a combination of what the actual circumstances are, we’ll dive into it in episode one so we’re going to unpack all that. But I think the audience are going to be shocked.

What Else Do We Know About Fire Country Season 2

As Theriot mentioned, there’s a trailer for Fire Country season 2 which gives a sneak peek into what to expect from the forthcoming season of the action drama series. The shock ending of season 1 showed Bode heading back to prison after taking the fall so that his friend Freddy could go free. Even though the trailer doesn’t reveal a lot, it shows Bode back behind bars, once again experiencing the prison system’s grim reality.

n regard to the storyline for Fire Country season 2, while nothing has been confirmed yet, it is very likely that the new season will focus mainly on Bode’s exploits in prison more than anything else. It is also likely that Freddy would attempt to repay Bode for taking the fall for him either by getting him out of prison or back onto the firefighters program at least. As Theriot already alluded to above, his on-screen relationship with Gabriela might not go the way a lot of viewers would expect.

Fire Country season 2 is expected to once again feature Thieriot and Arcila as Bode and Gabriela respectively. Other new and returning stars set for the next season include Rafael de la Fuente as Diego, Farr, Alejandro, and Burke as Bode’s dad, Vince. Deadpool star Morena Baccarin is also set to appear in the show, with the expectation to set up a Fire Country spinoff focused on her character.
