Fire Country: Questions About the Killer Helicopter That Targeted Bode’s Loved Ones in Season 3 Premiere

A helicopter towing a message banner above Edgewater, California, suffered

engine failure and crashed on Friday afternoon, systemically placing family

members and loved ones of former Three Rock prison camp inmate Bode Leone

in danger as it plummeted to the ground. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” said one eyewitness who had never met nor is related to Leone. “That helicopter was maybe 20 feet off the ground when it took a hard left turn at Sienna Lane, after waiting for the light to change, and made a beeline for Smokey’s.

“I’m no mechanic, but it clearly was pursuing a vendetta,” the man ventured.

We interrupt this news report to bring you the many questions we had coming out of CBS’ Fire Country Season 3 premiere, which aired on Friday night and saw Gabriela’s already iffy wedding to Diego interrupted by a wayward tail rotor, and put several lives in jeopardy when the roof of the aforementioned Smokey’s collapsed.

See if you have answers to our Qs, then hit the comments with any of your own!

1 | Did anyone catch the hiccup in hair continuity, when the cold open switched from what we aready saw in the May finale to the new footage shot for the season opener?2 | Was that the most violent interruption of a wedding since the original Dynasty‘s Moldavian massacre?3 | Do we have this right, that upon learning of the helicopter crash, Bode, Gabriela et al walked — in their wedding day finery — from the church to Smokey’s?

4 | And that they left in broad daylight… but arrived in the middle of the night? (And yet the distance was short enough to be walked? By some, in strappy heels?)

5 | Also, the wedding attendees beat to the crash scene any and all emergency services units? By a considerable amount of time?

6 | Speaking of which, are we overdue for a discussion about the response time for EMS services in Edgewater?

7 | Gabriela wore her wispy wedding dress, heels and veil the entire time while tending to the wounded? (Though she eventually used her veil as a tourniquet.) Smokey’s doesn’t have any wearable merch? Similarly, Bode never took off his suit jacket?

8 | Is anyone else now kinda loving Rick aka Gen’s “bio-dad”?

9 | Do regular folk who aren’t TV characters use the term “bio-dad”?

10 | Whose dress shirt stayed crisper and whiter after a long evening of tending to the bloody wounded at a sooty crash scene, Luke’s or Diego’s?

11 | Was the idea to prop up Smokey’s collapsed roof long enough for Gen and others to crawl out from where they’d been pinned — using a random, old-looking wooden beam — more than a little precarious?l

12 | How long (if at all) will Sharon keep Bode and Gabriela apart, per Manny’s request?

13 | Did the massive, episode-ending explosion that came on top of the crash give you 9-1-1 season premiere vibes?
