The upcoming Fire Country spinoff series Sheriff Country is almost here … and Max Thieriot is ready to share what fans can expect from the new show.
With Fire Country expanding its TV universe to include Sheriff Country this fall, fans are eager to see the show premiere on Friday, October 17, 2025 on CBS. But ahead of the show’s first episode airing, Max (who is also an executive producer for Sheriff Country) and the show’s star Morena Baccarin got together to do some promos for both of their TV projects.
“We were just really excited to tell a different side of law enforcement in these small, rural towns,” Max explained in a video posted on Instagram on July 28, where he and Morena chat in an interview, and Morena shows off her “sheriff stance.”
“A lot of these people are not just emotionally connected to a lot of other cases, but you know everybody,” Max continues, “It becomes that much more intimate, but at the same time, [we show] how different it is when you don’t have backup. You have to handle how you approach people differently.”

Upon hearing Max giving a sneak peek at what’s to come in Sheriff Country, many went to the comments to voice how ready they were for the spinoff to already air on their TV screens.
“Can’t wait to watch Sheriff Country and the new season of Fire Country ❤️,” one person stated. “I can’t wait to watch this. I know it’s gonna be good cause fire country is amazing,” another declared.
“Fire Country is such an amazing show. I have watched it since day one and have never looked back. Sheriff Country looks like it will be a massive hit as well. Can’t wait,” a different commenter added.
Now, this is definitely some news we certainly are thrilled about! And even though it’s still a little while before Sheriff Country comes out, we do know that some of the stars of Fire Country are expected to pop up at some point. But just like what Max and Morena clued folks into, there’s certainly a lot to explore when the show finally premieres.
