Don’t shoot the messenger, but it might not be back until 2025!

Virgin River is one of the most popular small-town shows on Netflix.

Since its debut in 2019, it’s been a source of drama, romance, scandal,

and interest for viewers who have fallen in love with life in Virgin River.

Season 5 ended on a real cliffhanger

Then Mel’s dad arrived with the bombshell that he had something to tell her. While we don’t know what it is yet, we do know that the upcoming season of Virgin River will delve deeper into the story of Mel’s parents as she and the viewers learn more about where she came from and how (just maybe) she was destined to return to the town and find love.

Season 6 begins a few months after that memorable final scene.

What can we expect from Season 6?

After everything they’ve had to go through to get to where they are, it’ll be nice to see Mel and Jack have it a little easier. But there are plenty of other couples on the show, each with their own story.

Doc and Hope are arguably an even more adorable couple than Jack and Mel. Things seemed to be going well for Muriel and Cameron at the end of Season 5 – although the question of whether Cameron will regret not having kids looms large. And it will be interesting to see if Brie and Brady get back together.

With fewer episodes and those flashbacks telling us about Everett and Sarah’s budding romance back in the day, it may be that these other stories will take a back seat in Season 6.

When will Virgin River Season 6 arrive?

production schedules were thrown out of whack last year thanks to the strikes. Fortunately, things are getting back to normal and we know that filming for the next season of Virgin River is underway.

So it seems almost certain now that we won’t be seeing it this side of Christmas. That ties in with the fact that the show picks up a few months after the holidays, which would have made it an odd choice to release just as we’re all gearing up for the festivities.

But the turnaround time from filming to release has been pretty quick for Virgin River over the years. This gives us hope that as we leave the holiday season behind and look forward to a new slate of shows on TV and streaming networks, Season 6 of Virgin River will be waiting for us like a nice cup of hot chocolate on a dark January evening.More details and a confirmed date for the new season are expected later this year.
