Emmerdale actor Will Ash was spotted partying on Teesside at the weekend.

The star was in Hartlepool to celebrate the birthday of fellow actor, Lewis Cope, who hails from the town. The soap favourite, Will, plays Caleb Milligan on the long-running Dales drama, and until his departure last year, Lewis, played his son, Nicky Milligan.

Will joined Lewis and his family and friends in the town to celebrate the young Hartlepool actor’s 22nd birthday – and it was quite the night with everyone partying in Idols nightclub until the early hours of Sunday morning. John Gate, owner of the Church Street club, said he had been pre-warned that some Emmerdale actors would be visiting on Saturday night.

He said: “When he arrived their was a young girl leaving the club and she said to him ‘you must get this all the time, but you look just like that bloke from Emmerdale’. He just looked at me and smiled, and I said to her ‘it is the bloke from Emmerdale’ and she came back into the club to get as photo with him.”

He said both of the actors were really lovely and friendly with everyone and were happy to pose for photos with customers and seemed to have a really good night. John said: “They arrived at about 11.30pm and didn’t leave until 3am. It was a good night.”

John said it was really good to have celebrities in the club. Idols is a popular venue in Hartlepool and in summer last year celebrated its 18th anniversary.
