EastEnders has confirmed that Vicki Fowler has told another lie, in the show’s latest episode.
This week, Vicki returned to Walford from Australia, together with her new boyfriend Ross and his son Joel.
This pairing was a surprise to Alfie, who assumed that Vicki was still in a relationship with his brother Spencer.
Vicki claimed that Spencer had cheated on her, but after Kat did some investigating, it was revealed that it was actually Vicki who had the affair – with Spencer’s friend Ross.
Later, viewers also discovered that the couple were in financial trouble, and Ross wanted Vicki to ask Sharon for money.
In today’s episode, Vicki and Ross agreed that they will return to Australia as soon as they get their hands on the cash they need. Ross reminded her that they are desperate and are out of options.
Vicki reunited with Kathy and had an emotional chat, but she felt guilty when Kathy made it clear how difficult the last couple of years have been for Sharon.
She changed her mind about asking Sharon, so turned her attentions to Ian, and admitted to him that she was struggling for money.
Priya, who overheard the conversation in Beale’s Eels, was naturally suspicious of Vicki, and the pair ended up in a tense confrontation.
Ian decided to tell Sharon about Vicki’s request, so she confronted her sister about why she had asked Ian for a loan and not her.
Vicki explained that she was embarrassed, and Ross doesn’t speak to his family, so they had no other choice. Sharon was concerned, but Vicki was quick to assure her that everything is fine.

However, Sharon phoned Michelle and discovered that Vicki had been lying again: rather than shared money troubles, Vicki is covering for Ross’s debt.
“You tell me exactly what he’s dragged you into,” Sharon demanded to Vicki, “or you get out of my house!”
