Emmerdale fans are bracing themselves for a shock split between Cain
(played by Jeff Hordley) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) as tensions in
their marriage escalate. The couple’s relationship has been under strain
ever since Cain’s nephew Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) falsely accused Moira’s son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) of stabbing him, leading to Matty’s wrongful imprisonment. Under duress from local thug Josh Cope (Osian Morgan), Samson lied to the police, claiming Matty had intentionally stabbed him, which resulted in Matty being thrown behind bars. Moira was frantic to debunk Samson’s false statement as Matty endured a dreadful ordeal in jail. However, even after Samson confessed the truth, Moira couldn’t bring herself to forgive him. In the meantime, Cain took it upon himself to prepare his nephew for potential time in prison by toughening him up, much to Moira’s horror when she witnessed their sparring session.
She lashed out at her husband, accusing him of betraying her innocent son by supporting Samson. But the tables turned when Samson confronted and attacked bully Josh, leading to his own arrest, reports the Express. Cain caught a glimpse of Moira smiling as Samson was taken away in handcuffs in The Woolpack, sparking suspicion. Back at home, an intense argument ensued, culminating in Moira hurling a glass at Cain. Attempting to defuse the situation the following day, Cain was met with Moira’s harsh words about Samson: “They should throw away the key”, and she blamed Cain for making things worse by trying to prepare Samson for a stint in jail.
“So now this is all my fault? ” Cain questioned, only to receive a sarcastic retort from Moira, who blamed him for turning Samson into “another thug which their family didn’t need.” As Cain and Moira’s rows intensify, some viewers of the soap are speculating that their marriage could be on the rocks, and it will be her doing. An Emmerdale enthusiast commented on X: “Not saying this is right BUT the way they’re turning Moira’s character and Cain and her always arguing usually means there’s an affair on the way or something else equally daft on the cards.” Another fan expressed: “Of course it was Moira…. oh dear, her and Cain may breakup over this #Emmerdale”, while another added: “Moira really is very nasty. She’s Jekyll and Hyde.
Pack your bags Cain #Emmerdale.” One more viewer remarked: “SO BORED of this endless cycle of Cain and Moira arguing then making up. Moira has been so vile to her husband recently that it’s getting unbelievable that he forgives her and they get back together.” “Moira has turned into a nasty spiteful cow, loved her and Cain together but now I hope he leaves her @emmerdale #Emmerdale”, a viewer opined.
