It is going to be a sad week on Emmerdale when the Dingle family

learns the heart-shattering news that Zak Dingle has passed away in

Scotland. The spoilers reveal that Moira receives a phone call

from her stepdaughter Debbie, who informs her of Zak’s passing. Later, Cain informs the entire Dingle family about the sad demise of the senior. The whole family comes together to mourn their shared loss.

Meanwhile, Cain decides to head off to Scotland to bring Zaks’ body home to Weatherfield. Before leaving, Sam, Cain, and Belle have a moment alone and they remember their memories with their father. Later, the family sees off Cain and Sam as they leave for Scotland. Later in the week, when Zak’s funeral gets underway, a long lost relative shows up at the ceremony. But who could it be?

Jeff Hordley who plays Cain Dingle on Emmerdale revealed how emotional the whole storyline is. In a recent chat with the media, he admitted that no one was expecting to hear such a news about Zak, it was too sudden. “It’s like seeing someone in the morning, and then in the afternoon, they’re gone.” Perhaps that’s why Cain is so hard hit.

Furthermore, he added that it’s a really lovely episode. It reminded him a lot of the lockdown two hander episodes that “we had where it’s just characters talking. It’s a bit like doing a play, it’s quite intense.” Interestingly, the actor also teased that someone the viewers already know is about to return for the funeral, and they are not going to make things any easier!
