Paula Lane Addresses Fan Theories

Earlier, viewers suspected a connection between Ella Forster and Meena Jutla. With time, the clues kept piling up. So, it was almost sure that the newcomer was connected to the woman who killed Liam’s daughter. But later, it turned out Ella had killed her best friend when she was just a child.

Even though the receptionist has no connection to Meena, the actress mentioned that she initially found the fan theories amusing. However, she added, “There’s absolutely zero connection unless she’s come across her in prison. So you never know, them crossing paths could be a theory.”

The soap star also reflected on the fan reaction to Ella’s past. She shared that she received several positive messages about her acting on social media but emphasised that the storyline is thought-provoking. As a mother, she expressed that if someone did something similar to her child, it would be incredibly difficult to forgive.

Paula explained that, overall, people seem to believe that Ella has served her time, which appears to be the general consensus. Due to her past, Ella has been on the run for most of her life. However, the ITV star noted that things have been different in the Dales as the village has accepted Ella, largely thanks to Mandy and Manpreet.

She also mentioned that Liam has been willing to welcome her to some extent. As time passed, she began working at the vet clinic. This new job gave her a small boost of confidence, especially since she and Tracy were competing for the same position. There were some intense moments between them.

As time passed, she started becoming more involved in the village and allowing people to see her for who she indeed was. But will Meena’s arrival change everything for her?
