Another week in Emmerdale brings another truck load of drama. Caleb Miligan (William Ash) is left
baffled when Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) offers him a lift into Hotten and accepts with unease.
When the village vicar gets out at a lay-by and grows emotional, Caleb follows him into the woods.
Heartbroken Charles reminisces about his dead son and laments the case being dropped. But as Caleb tries to comfort him, Charles’s face turns cold. Charles is incensed, grilling Caleb over Ethan’s hit and run. When Caleb tries to return to the car, furious Charles stops him and shows him the invoice – evidence that Caleb was involved in Ethan being run over. Elsewhere, a furious row breaks out between Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) when he admits he can’t face telling Suni (Brahmdeo Ramana) the truth about Amit (Anil Goutam). As the argument becomes more heated, Jai makes a jibe about Ashley and Laurel kicks him out. Jai braves telling Suni the truth about Amit’s money and sits him down while he finds the courage. Suni rambles as Jai’s bombarded with calls, causing Jai to snap. Alone, Laurel feels dizzy and collapses. Thankfully, Gabby finds her and calls an ambulance as Laurel struggles to breathe.
When Jai hears about Laurel his world falls apart but does he tell Suni the truth? And will Laurel survive her ordeal? Meanwhile, Tom King’s abuse and manipulation continues next week when he makes a plan to the leave the village with his suffering wife Belle. When Tom (Mark Flanagan) attempts to shut down Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) questioning abut Belle, she’s livid. Tom instantly blames Belle’s mental health and the other Dingle women worry that Charity is overreacting. Tom King plans to move to Wales (Image: ITV) In frustration, Charity leaves the room, worried she has missed her chance to help Belle. But when she goes round the next day, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) isn’t interested in Charity’s apologies. At home, Tom has a wicked glint in his eye as he takes a job interview for role in a remote part of Wales. He tells the interviewer that his wife would love to live there. When Belle returns, Tom suggests they go on holiday, keen to take her to a remote cottage. Belle agrees, completely clueless that his evil plan is taking place.
