Emmerdale fans will know that Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) has made plans
to leave the visit behind him – but he may not be alone, as new scenes have revealed.
It recently transpired that Nate had been given a job opportunity in Scotland,
though in recent scenes he remained unsure about accepting. What had complicated things was a kiss between him and ex Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh), which left him wondering where they stood with each other. During a day of work at the farm, Nate confided in Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) that he thought he and Tracy may be getting back on track. Thrilled, Moira offered to give him the afternoon off to speak to her.
However, when the pair hugged, Nate was shocked when it appeared that Moira had tried to kiss him. However, this wasn’t really the case, as Moira had actually suffered an absence seizure, which had caused her head to tilt towards him. Horrified by what he assumed she’d tried to do, Nate stormed off to finish his work, unaware that Caleb Miligan (Will Ash) had seen everything. Later, Moira came to find Nate and hoped to explain herself, but he wasn’t in the mood to listen. Instead, he revealed his new job offer and announced that she had made up his mind about taking it. Following his decision, he paid Tracy a visit.
Earlier in the episode, Tracy had admitted to Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) that she hoped he wouldn’t take the job, as she wanted to rebuild their family. When Nate announced that that was exactly what he planned to do, Tracy was gutted, but he soon offered an alternative. He explained that he wanted a new start away from the village and Caleb, and that he wanted her and daughter Frankie to come with him. Though he gave her the chance to think about it, Tracy insisted that she didn’t need any, and agreed to join him on his new venture.
