Emmerdale’s Nicola King could be set for a shock affair – and fans are
livid. The beloved villager (Nicola Wheeler) has been a staple on the soap since
2001. And it’s fair to say Nicola has been involved in a ton of drama in the
famous Dales. Earlier this year, she was left horrified after it was revealed daughter Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) was responsible for the car crash that killed Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling). Eventually admitting her part in Heath’s tragic end, Angelica was sentenced to eight months at a Secure Children’s Home. It was later revealed she was being sent to a home in Bristol – a four-hour drive away from the village. Since then, parents Nicola and Jimmy (Nick Miles) have been left worried naturally, and hoped that she would be released earlier if she behaved well – but that hasn’t been the case recently.

Nicola and Jimmy were also expecting Angel to return home this week. However, they were told it was being delayed because she had gotten into a fight. They then learned that it was actually Angel who orchestrated the confrontation, which stuned the parents. And during Thursday’s episode (August 15) Nicola was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears in front of Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).
Fans are certain the Nicola will start an affair with Bob Hope (Image: ITV) The pair then shared a heart-to-heart, with a terrified Nicola admitting she couldn’t help but wonder if Angel was turning into a “violent thug.” However, following Bob and Nicola’s interaction, viewers are certain an affair could be brewing – and they are not too happy about it. Rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “I’m thinking that they are going to try and push for a Nicola and Bob affair down the line or one of them will misread the signals?” Someone else fumed: “Bob and Nicola better not have an affair,” as a third viewer replied: “It looked that way tbh. I saw it coming a mile away.”
