Comeuppance is on its way to Tom King as his estranged wife Belle Dingle

is planning to make him face the consequences of his vile actions. But another

villager may take him down. Someone close to home could betray Tom King

in upcoming scenes as next week’s Emmerdale spoilers have teased that a young villager will catch a glimpse of his true colours as he gets rid of incriminating evidence. After learning that his estranged wife Belle Dingle was planning to report him to the police for the abuse she suffered at his hands, the vile vet portrayed by James Chase is desperate to get rid of any proof Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) could use against him. One villager catches Tom discarding incriminating evidence – but will they expose him? An enamoured Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) let slip that Belle had the intention of turning Tom in to the authorities for the abuse she endured, triggering a huge showdown between the former spouses in explosive scenes aired on ITV last week.

This led Belle to strike the vet with an axe to the back, terrified for her life. While he was thought to be dead, Tom was actually saved by Liam Cavanagh and rushed to hospital. But in scenes due to air next week, he gets to work as he tries to snatch the remaining evidence against him away from Isaac Dingle’s prying eyes. Tom King tries to get rid of incriminating evidence next week Emmerdale viewers have been expecting his downfall to unfurl – and Carl Holliday may be the one to trigger it Tom first keeps an eye on the young boy played by Elias Walker and eventually catches him alone with his tablet, which he asks back. Isaac informs him that the device is at home, before inviting him to grab it himself by revealing the location of a spare key.

With time running out before the police are set on his tail, Tom sneaks into Butlers Farm to find the tablet but his plan is thwarted when he’s forced to hide from an oblivious Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano). Belle, on the other hand, tries to jog Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) memory, asking if she had any recollection of anything she can use against Tom. Unfortunately, Moira doesn’t recall anything. Later on, she’s startled to spot Tom bragging about his assure victory in court, overwhelming her with a growing dread. Tom then moves on to the next step in his plan and brings the tablet, where he has stocked a myriad of incriminating photos, back home to be destroyed. Thinking he is home alone, Tom begins to smash the device up, completely unaware that Jimmy’s son Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) is watching him on. Could he spill the beans?

In late July, 2024, it was reported that James, who has portrayed Tom since 2023, had quit the show and his on-screen departure would include dramatic scenes. “It’s the right time to leave,” an insider told The Sun. “James has loved his time on the show playing such a powerful story but the truth is that characters like Tom have a shelf life for a reason. There’s no long-term redemption for Tom coming – he has to leave one way or the other. And either way it will be dramatic. James is rightly proud of the part he’s played in raising awareness of the issue with the story but it’s time to go and spread his wings.” But how will he be exposed and when will Belle get justice?
