John has been refusing to tell anyone where he put Anthony’s body. While some fans have wondered if Anthony is secretly alive, others believe John just wants to be the one in control of the situation.

And recently, we have seen him use Anthony’s death against Caleb, blackmailing him to fire Robert. But with the clock ticking, fans believe the location is about to be revealed.

John has made it one of his missions to keep the location of Anthony’s body a secret.

At the beginning, he lied and pretended that he was buried in the woods. But when Steph was having a breakdown, she proved that wasn’t the truth.

While everyone briefly wondered if their trust in John was misplaced (if only they knew), they ultimately forgave him for lying and accepted that he would never tell them where he is buried.

But now that John’s time is running out, the whereabouts of Anthony’s body remains a mystery. However, viewers think they have worked it out.

Annie Sugden’s field to lead to Anthony discovery

Newly returned Robert Sugden shocked viewers by stealing Lewis’ weed, selling it to drug-dealer Ray, and using the money to buy Annie Sugden’s field from Moira.

But the biggest shock was when it was revealed he had partnered up with Kim. Although he is still planning something even bigger…

However, Emmerdale introducing Annie’s field after all these years has left fans wondering if that’s where the body of Anthony has been buried.

Taking to a Reddit thread, one viewer penned: “With all these new fields, what are the odds that John buried Anthony’s body in one – and now that all are occupied, it’s about to be found?”

Another user agreed, thinking it will specifically be in Annie’s field.

They penned: “I think it will be found in the field that Robert has bought?”

A third commented: “I would enjoy this twist! Is John really into digging though? A part of me still thinks another lake..”

If the body of Anthony is in the field Robert has bought, it could be a good way to bring him into the storyline fully. Right now, Robert doesn’t know anything about Anthony – or Aaron’s involvement in the lead-up to his death.

So would he use it to go against his evil half-brother? Or will he realise keeping it a secret is another way to protect the man he loves?

While it remains unknown where Anthony is, this would be a very interesting twist.
