Emmerdale fans reckon they’ve sussed out newcomer Josh Crowther’s (Conner Chapman)
game plan and it doesn’t bode well for one resident. Josh first rocked up in the village back
in May and has since been a bad influence on his mate Samson Dingle (Sam Hall). The duo
threatened Matty (Ash Palmisciano) during a botched robbery at The Hide, which took a nasty turn when Josh shoved Samson into Matty – who was holding a knife – resulting in Samson getting stabbed. Both lads lied and claimed Matty had intentionally caused the injury, leading to Matty being sent down. In Thursday’s episode (July 4), Josh made a surprise visit to Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) house, admitting he fancied her and asking her out for a drink. She agreed and they enjoyed a bevvy at The Woolpack, reports the Express. But when he revealed that he and Samson were planning to jet off around Europe, Sarah questioned the timing of his plans with Matty’s trial looming. Annoyed, Sarah confronted Josh, leading Mack (Lawrence Robb) to step in.
Later, he expressed his disapproval of her hanging out with the troublesome new lad. However, viewers are now worried that things could take a dark turn between Josh and Sarah. On social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, one user speculated: “You ever get the feeling Samson’s “mate” will try to force himself onto Sarah and that’ll be what makes Samson admit the truth? ” Someone else chimed in: “After everything he saw Lydia go through with Craig, I think that would be the one thing to kick him into gear.” Another fan was quick to add their eerie vibes about Josh, saying: “There’s something creepy about Josh.”
Another viewer was on the same page and scribbled down a warning: “Sarah, on behalf of us viewers stay away from Josh! ! ! ” Meanwhile, a fifth observer was baffled, questioning: “what TF is Sarah doing hanging around with Josh? “. Meanwhile, over in the Dales this week, the drama is ramping up. Moira Dingle (played by Natalie J Robb) is absolutely fuming when she discovers Josh and Samson Dingle’s (portrayed by Sam Hall) plans to jet off on their European adventure earlier than planned, and she’s hell-bent on putting a stop to it. Moira storms into the Dingles’ place and throws accusations about Samson’s premature departure at Sam Dingle (James Hooton), who stands his ground defending his lad’s innocence. Before long, Sam is persuaded to let his boy go, convinced by promises of a return before the trial, but Moira’s got her own crusade to keep him from leaving.
