Emmerdale fans are certain an exit is on the cards for Kim Tate – and it’s not looking

good for the beloved villager. Actress Claire King plays man-eater Kim on the ITV soap

– making her debut back in 1989. Kim quickly became a hit with fans and was involved

in a ton of drama in the famous Dales. However, in 1999, Kim said her goodbyes – only to make an epic return 20 years later. And it’s fair to say throughout her years on the soap, the character has been involved in some of its biggest storylines. What’s more, Kim has had plenty of steamy on-screen moments. From starting an affair with toyboy David Glover, to locking lips with Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley, Claire’s characters have sent temperatures soaring in the steamy scenes.

Over on a Reddit thread, one fan mused how Kim will exit, when the time eventually comes. The social media user wrote: “When the time does eventually come… how do you think they will kill off the legendary Kim Tate?

Will it be some explosive fire/ explosion stunt, a murder/ who dunnit, or an illness situation? Fans have shared their theories on how she could exit ( ITV/REX/Shutterstock) “I personally would love to see an illness storyline for her as Claire King is an amazing actress, possibly where Kim finds out secretly and doesn’t tell her family for a while. And she only told her closest friends (Lydia and Mary) until one day she collapses while riding one of her horses out in the field. “And they launch a search to find her after Lydia confesses to Will what’s been going on, leading to a matter of time quest to find her before things get bad.

It comes as actress Claire recently announced she is set to take part in a soap event for fans. For the first in a series of live Emmerdale ‘audience with…’ events, she will be talking about all things life on the ITV soap. Kim is one of the soap’s beloved characters The event is taking place at the Weetwood Hotel in Leeds. Claire King, said: “Kim Tate has been and remains an incredible part of my life, the chance to play such a powerful (if not tricky!) character is a gift for any actor and I feel very lucky to do so. ““I am rather fond of her to be honest and can’t wait to see what she gets up to next. To be given the chance to meet the programme’s fans face-to-face in our home county of Yorkshire for such a special event is fantastic.”
