Coronation Street fans have been left ‘heartbroken’ as Daisy Midgeley was left telling Jenny Connor of her plans to quit the cobbles.
It’s been no secret that the Rovers Return barmaid-turned-co-owner would be saying goodbye to Weatherfield after actress Charlotte Jordan decided to leave the ITV soap after four years.
The actress’ final scenes will air on Friday in the ITV soap (May 2) after another recent whirlwind of drama involving a secret pregnancy, catfishing, and tangled romances.
Daisy is ready to embark on a new chapter at the other side of the world, leaving a void in the heart of Weatherfield and devastation in her wake.
As fans know, she has since been in cahoots with her mother, Christina Boyd, to get her hands on Jenny’s cash, with the money invested for her by her ex-husband, and Daisy’s dad.
They are catfishing Jenny with the help of ‘Dom’. Daisy, however, has been unaware that Christina plans to split the £60,000 with ‘Dom’ as she is actually seeing Jenny’s dodgy new fake suitor.

Daisy’s partner, Daniel Osbourne, has since found out about the catfishing and has issued her with an ultimatum. During Wednesday’s (April 30) Corrie, Jenny reveals she has transferred the money but Daisy was left shocked when she hears Christina talking to Dom in the Rovers’ back yard.
It wasn’t long before the drama ensued and Daisy let her mum take the rap for the catfishing. But it was a moment between Daisy and Jenny at the end of the latest episode that left fans saddened. “I’ve decided it’s time I left,” Daisy told Jenny, who didn’t quite get where Daisy wanted to leave.
“Weatherfield,” she confirmed before Jenny was quick to respond: “Don’t let what your mother did push you away.” But Daisy insisted: “I’m not.” Jenny again reassured: “I don’t blame you for a second for what she’s been up to.”

“That’s great and I’m sorry for all of that, I am. But it is time that I left the car crash that is my life and I’ve got to start again somewhere else. So, I’m going to leave tomorrow and I’m going to be gone for good.”
Responding to the scene, @daisysmidgeley said: “She was a manipulative cow all episode long but this still broke my heart.” @Beckixsmith1 shared: “I just finished tonight’s corrie so much humour and sadness but I don’t want daisy to leave now but those betsy and lisa scenes was so emotional for me overall I loved tonight’s ep #Corrie.”

Ahead of her exit scenes airing, actress Charlotte appeared on This Morning where she revealed to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley that her exit has been a year in the making.
Asked what it was like to say goodbye, Charlotte said: “It was a lot more emotional that I thought it would be. I told [the Corrie bosses] them a year ago, so I’ve had a long time to come to terms with it and prepare for it.
“But I cried a lot on my last day, which I don’t tend to do very often but it was on-and-off sobbing for about four hours!”

But as Cat looked ahead to pastures new for Charlotte, the soap star shared: “I do feel excited, it’s a fresh start. I feel like I’ve done a lot of soapy things. I’ve done the check list. [Coronation Street] have been really good to me and it just feels like time for a new beginning.”
