EastEnders ‘seals’ new Vic owners as Linda plans to sell – and it’s not George

EastEnders fans think they’ve worked out who the new owners of the Vic are set to be amid George and Elaine’s ongoing dispute – and Linda’s plan to sell in next week’s spoilers

The future of EastEnders’ iconic Queen Vic remains uncertain amid George Knight and Elaine Peacock’s split as tonight’s episode and next week’s spoilers continue to drop hints.

A huge bombshell in next weeks spoilers reveal that Linda, who has been taking care of the pub singlehandedly, tells Elaine she wants to sell her half of The Vic. But will she go through with it and who will she sell it to if so?

On tonight’s episode, Elaine and George continue to fight over the ownership of the Vic following their split. With all this in mind, fans think they’ve worked out exactly who it’ll go to following the former couple’s fight for the pub. However, they don’t think either of them will win.

Last night, we heard Elaine tell her ex that she’d make sure she’d keep the pub until the day she dies – telling George he wouldn’t be getting any of his money back. However, boxer George wasn’t stepping down without a fight, as he told Elaine: “Let’s fight.” Tonight, he stuck to his word.

As Elaine told George he was barred while ordering a drink, he responded: “You can’t bar me from my own pub,” to which she responded: “It’s not your pub anymore, it’s mine.”

However, George responded by saying: “My brief says differently. She told me that I have a legal claim to the place. So you can get my round in or I can come round the other side and serve myself.” Elaine later told her grandson Johnny to get the post-nup checked over – as she tries to do anything in her power to keep the Vic.

Kat and Phil

Fans believe Kat will enlist the help of Phil to get to Vic back – as we see them getting close this week(Image: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)

It’s believed the Vic will soon get new owners – and fans think they’ve worked out who it will be. Earlier in today’s episode, we saw Kat and Phil growing close again as she shares her concerns – and fans are certain this is Kat’s way back into the Vic.

“Elaine is being very unreasonable with George here – yes he may have cheated on her with Cindy mentally speaking – however he’s still entitled to his share in the Vic because he put money into the pub,” wrote one fan.

“We know this will lead towards Kat getting the Vic – remember Phil saying last night how he’d still do anything for Kat and the kids because he cares about her. He’ll probably increase the divorce settlement.”

Another said: “I get a feeling that it’s going to be Phil and Kat that could buy the Vic. If Alfie isn’t landlord with Kat, I wonder if it’s Phil that goes into business with her as a silent partner or just gives her the money.”

The rumours of a new owner in the Vic came after a huge social media slip from the soap last month, in which they posted a TikTok video with a “for sale” sign outside of the Vic. Ever since, fans have been sharing their theories on who the knew owners will be, with many thinking Kat and Alfie would be making their way back behind the bar.

There’s more drama for the couple next week as spoilers reveal Elaine Peacock collapses amid her split from George Knight. As she continues to spiral, wasting money and leaving The Vic in chaos, her daughter Linda Carter comes to a decision – leading to a huge row.

Elaine thinks Linda and George are plotting behind her back, and with her losing funds and facing losing The Vic, she turns to her grandson Johnny Carter but it all gets too much, and another row takes its toll with Elaine collapsing.

How will it all pan out?
