EastEnders legends Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright have recently reunited and our hearts can’t take it.
The soap legends spent ten years working together as Mick and Linda Carter, before Danny Dyer chose to leave the show in 2022.
Mick’s dramatic Christmas Day exit saw him get lost at sea after diving in to save
the love of his life Linda, only he never resurfaced and has since been presumed dead. Like Linda, EastEnders fans everywhere have been mourning Mick’s loss, with hardcore ‘Milinda’ fans desperate to have them back. Fortunately, actress Kellie took to social media with a little treat for them, as she shared a photo alongside Danny.
‘A little photo of me and Danny Dyer for all the Mick and Linda fans out there,’ she wrote alongside the selfie, adding two love heart emojis.
Sure enough, fans of the beloved couple flocked to the comments, expressing their joy at the reunion.
‘Oh I am SOBBING,’ one fan wrote, while another added: ‘Milinda has my heart forever.’
Of course, there were countless comments calling for Mick’s return, with fans desperate to see Mick and Linda get their happy ever after.
They very nearly got just that when, moments before setting out on their deadly car chase in 2022, Mick and Linda finally confessed their love for one another, after months of being apart.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, and Linda has been left grieving her childhood sweetheart, while also dealing with countless other setbacks – including the return of rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), and the fact that she is now a killer.
In recent weeks we’ve seen her reflect on Mick’s death ahead of Father’s Day.
She told son Johnny (Charlie Suff) and mum Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) that she’d had a vivid dream featuring Mick, with the two walking through a park together and eating chips.
If only it was true, Linda!
Meanwhile, Danny’s career has gone from strength to strength, with the actor having starred in a number of different projects since his exit.
With all that going on, is there any chance of Mick and Linda being reunited in the show? For now, we can only hope!
