Did you miss any gossip this week? Don’t worry, as we’re on hand with our regular Sunday round-up of the main headlines from the past seven days.
Emmerdale confirms February stunt drama
Emmerdale has shared further details of a big disaster storyline which will air next month. Show bosses have promised a “spectacular series of stunts” involving a car crash and a frozen lake.
Cast and crew worked on these scenes during night shoots before Christmas. Some of the most popular characters will take centre stage in the scenes – and not all of them may make it out alive.
Show producer Laura Shaw commented: “The stunning backdrop of the village, from its rugged woodland to its wilder landscapes, set the perfect stage for what’s to come. I’m thrilled for our audience to experience these episodes as they unfold, taking them on a chilling – quite literally – and perilous journey across the frozen ice.”
Coronation Street exits for Craig and Daisy
Cast changes at Coronation Street have been the big talking point of the week. Following the news last weekend that Sue Cleaver will be leaving her role as Eileen Grimshaw, news broke that Colson Smith and Charlotte Jordan will also be departing.
Colson is being written out by show bosses, after it was decided that his character Craig Tinker had become “isolated” following the exits of key cast he’d shared most of his scenes with.
Meanwhile, Charlotte is leaving the role of Daisy Midgeley of her own accord as she wants to pursue other opportunities.

Coronation Street return for Julie Carp
Coronation Street star Katy Cavanagh has returned to filming in the role of Julie Carp after ten years away.
Julie’s return in February will form part of her sister Eileen’s exit storyline.
Show producer Kate Brooks explained: “We’re delighted to have the inimitable Julie Carp back on the cobbles.
“As the ever-loveable Julie breezes back into the lives of the Grimshaws, not everything is quite as it seems, and Julie’s secret sets off a chain of events that has huge ramifications for Eileen.”

EastEnders live vote details confirmed
EastEnders has shared the full details of its groundbreaking public vote as part of the show’s 40th anniversary live episode next month.
Show chiefs had previously promised to give viewers the power to decide the outcome of a love triangle. They’d kept fans guessing over which one, as there are several characters currently torn between different romantic options.
The speculation came to an end this week when EastEnders announced that the vote will centre around Denise’s big decision between Jack and Ravi.
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw commented: “We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out. Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode.
“There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!”
